清代瓷器造型多樣，百鹿尊見於康熙一朝，因形似鹿頭或牛首，故常稱鹿頭尊或牛頭尊。粉彩器上多繪百鹿圖，因而又名「百鹿尊」。百鹿紋飾藏著滿滿的祝福，鹿與「祿」諧音，百祿形容俸祿之高厚，因此百鹿紋是祝頌加官進祿的吉祥圖案，非常討喜，自古已有仿之。

圖中的「粉彩鹿耳百鹿紋尊」屬清代景德鎮御窯廠所造，通體施白釉，肩部飾鹿首耳。器身繪粉彩山水苑百鹿圖，百鹿神態各異，或奔跑、或嬉戲、或覓食、或小憩，一派生機勃勃的景象。乾隆以後，只有道光和光緒朝燒過百鹿尊。這件道光仿雍正粉彩鹿耳百鹿紋尊，口徑28厘米、高45.5厘米，形制紋飾都仿雍正朝真品，底書雙圈[大清雍正年製]六字楷書款。

現時北京及台北故宮博物院及上海博物館均藏有乾隆朝的粉彩百鹿尊，想在香港一睹粉彩百鹿尊的真容，即日起可到中藝一覽華美的御瓷精品。

Qing Dynasty has a diverse range of porcelain styles. Resembling deer or ox heads, it is often called the Deer Vase or Ox Vase. Adorned with Fencai (Famille Rose) paintings of a hundred deer, it is also known as the “Hundred Deer Vase.” Indeed, deer have a number of auspicious meanings in Chinese culture. Since the Chinese term for “deer” is a homophone for “emolument” or “civil service salary,” the theme of deer has a long history in Chinese art. Thus the “hundred deer” are symbolic of the rank and wealth. This auspicious design has been cherished since ancient times.

Our post shows a Qing Dynasty Fencai Deer Ear Hundred Deer Vase from Jingdezhen imperial kilns. The vase features white glaze and deer head-shaped ears on the shoulders. Its body is adorned with Fencai landscape, which is given over to depiction of deer in landscape with rocks, pine trees and blossoming trees. This Daoguang Fencai Deer Ear Hundred Deer Vase has a diameter of 28 cm and a height of 45.5 cm. Its shape and decorative motifs imitate the genuine products from the Yongzheng era, with the six-character Kangxi mark inscribed on the base in regular script.
